- Lowest latency route from 1400 Federal Boulevard to DFT’s NJ1 data center
- Build addresses high demand for low latency routes from financial industry
- Critical route also offers diverse routing, diverse points of entry, and access to other critical financial exchanges within the area
BOXBOROUGH, MA — June 19th, 2012 – Lightower Fiber Networks, the premier metro fiber and bandwidth provider in the Northeast, announced today it has completed a diverse network build into DuPont Fabros Technology’s NJ1 data center located in Piscataway, New Jersey. Lightower designed the new network route for ultra-low latency networking with the added options of diverse routing and dual points of entry for added reliability. NJ1 is one of the largest data centers in the greater New York metro area. It includes two identical phases, each comprising of 18.2 megawatts of critical load and 88,100 raised square feet.
“Lightower constantly develops unique network routes that are strategic while also offering customers value, like low latency and diverse routes,” stated Herb Boynton, VP of Sales, Lightower. “Our build into the DuPont Fabros NJ1 facility offers customers another option for safely accessing critical financial networks. Our new route between NJ1 and Carteret also offers customers the lowest latency in the market between these two important financial services facilities.”
“Lightower offers a strategic low latency route for our financial services customers,” states Vinay Nagpal, Director of Carrier Relations at DuPont Fabros Technology. “Like our purpose-built, highly efficient NJ1 data center, their purpose-built route delivers high reliability with diversity options and underground deployment.
