The primary layers of security for unauthorized access to users’ crypto holdings are the Seed phrases, a random combination of different words from the BTC improvement Protocol (BIO), which consists of about 29 lists of 2,048 words. However, what if your smartphone’s predictive typing suggests the words the next time you access your wallet?

Andre, 33-year-old IT professional and a Reddit user from Germany, recently posted about discovering how his mobile phone was able to predict the recovery seed phrases as he typed the first word. As a fair warning to his fellow mates on Reddit, he posted highlighting how hackers can use this feature to do fraud with the investors.

However, he wasn’t able to reproduce a similar scenario, but after realizing this impact, he started to spread the word to others. According to him, Google’s GBoard was the least vulnerable as it didn’t predict every other word in the right order.

His initial stint was dated back to 2015, wherein he lost interest until he realized he could finally make full use of BTC and the altar coins.

As a safety protocol, he prefers to hold most of his long-term holdings in the hardware wallet. He recommends doing the double check and always sending a small amount before disabling the PMs in settings.

Blockchain Security firm PeckShield recently warned them about the crypto community regarding the large number of phishing websites that are targeting users by inserting forged MetaMask browsers. That can give them access to all the holdings and other private belongings digitally. Access to the seed phrase is also one of them.
